….the Defense Attorney who is defending human beings against the assaults of Satan*
I say there’s nothing wrong with tireless self promotion as long as there is some ingenuity and talent to back it up. Such is the case with Leo C. Donofrio, most recently in the blogger news (not much in the main stream news anyway) with his lawsuits before the SCOTUS regarding the eligibility of Barack H. Obama. I had heard of his skill at poker. He took top prizes at two “hold ’em” tournaments earlier this year.
Donofrio’s biggest gamble however is his attempt to remove ineligible candidates (Obama, McCain, Calero) from the presidential ballot for failing to meet the “natural born” test. His first suit “Donofrio v. Wells” was conferenced by the Justices on Dec 5 but they declined to order oral arguments. The next test comes tomorrow (Dec 15) in the Wrotnoski v. Bysiewicz when the Court will announce if it will hear that case. Today, on his blog, Natural Born Citizen, we learn that Donofrio is also an artist ,”damn it to hell”!
From Olberman at MSNBC and right on down the line with very few exceptions, I’ve been labeled a tin foil hat sporting freak show loony toon… and for what? I questioned whether a man – who admits his birth status was governed by the laws of Great Britain – is a “natural born Citizen” under our Constitution.
Well, I don’t really give a rats booty product what the media says. It’s all lies and spin anyway. But what does bother me is that they’ve insulted my artistic abilities. I am an artist, damn it to hell!
He goes on to spin a conspiracy yarn he calls “Obama Has a Twin”. He has also written a song with that title which he performs on his MySpace page where he is called The Paraclete. One reference to Paraclete on Wikipedia defines the term as “as the Defense Attorney who is defending human beings against the assaults of Satan (the Prosecuting Attorney, the Accuser, the fomenter of violence).”* He also plays in a band called Schizo Fun Addict.
Donofrio is an excellent writer and researcher and somewhat of a sleuth. His article titled The Mystery of Southern Pines Golf Club is an interesting read, even if you don’t care about golf.
I think I will come down on the side of those, and there are many, who praise his legal talent and his gutsiness in taking on a potentially huge constitutional issue. One can only wish him well in that regard, self promoter or not.

The consequences of the Supreme Court declining to address the US Constitution’s “natural born citizen” clause on the morning of Monday 12/15/08 — thereafter enabling the College of Electors to transform the crisis from “law” to “political and Congressional”, leading to the ‘inauguration’ of Mr. Obama, are nothing less than catastrophic. Lawsuits by members of the military challenging his ‘commander in chief’ status are INEVITABLE. And a military takeover to oust the “usurper” may be inevitable as well. Where is the media? This is no “tin foil hat” joke.

It got denied. As it should have.
And do you know where “The Paraclete” is from? In his words?
He went all in with 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 of mixed suits. And then totally lost it.

I”And do you know where “The Paraclete” is from? In his words?”
I believe I read the same things you did; did you read my post?

SCOTUS has now prevented itself from acknowleding the question whether Obama is or is not a “natural born citizen” (as distinguished from “citizen”) three times and counting: First before the Nov 4 general election and twice before the Dec 15 vote of the College of Electors. Other cases on the same question are at, or are heading to, SCOTUS. Whether SCOTUS ultimately decides if Obama is or is not a “natural born citizen” only after the Electors vote, only after Congress acts on the Electors’ vote, prior to Obama’s inauguration, or only after Obama’s inauguration, SCOTUS will have to decide — or the people and/or the military will. The issue no longer is Obama. The issue is SCOTUS.

Yes, John, I read your post.
Did you read mine?
This part, in particular, quoting Donofrio regarding his role…

I spent 1995-1999 trying to break the story to the UK music press by using art terrorist tactis. In 1998 I realized I was The Paraclete and that my purpose was to prophecy the return of the Messiah. The angels led me to one ALLAN(Reni)WREN, reclusive drummer of The Stone Roses. Needless to say I never had a chance of getting ONELOVESTORY or my music any press as they all thought I was insane and trying to ride on the shoulders of another band’s dream as a charlatan.

Anybody know of a more “lawyerly” photo of Donofrio for his profile over on ObamaConspiracy.org?

RoPiNi, spoketh thusly:
“That’s also the post where he calls himself a failed lawyer….so…there ya go.”
To be fair, he did NOT call himself a failed lawyer, he said he had a “failed law career”. There are many different things that could contribute to a failed career, and many are out of your control. (economy, management, partners, health issues, divorce/relationships, family, and dozens more) That post was written about his life FIFTEEN years ago, much could have changed since then. Maybe, just maybe, it’s not so failed any more.
Mind you, i think Lee is a true nut, and the evidence for his ill mental health is a plenty all over the internet… and makes for a fascinating read since I got to know him fairly well over a period of 3 years back when his “failed career” was happening. I knew him to be a very bright guy, a great golfer, and completely nuts.
I just don’t think you were being fair with your “he calls himself a failed lawyer” comment.

Nothing has been heard from Leo Donofrio since his post: SCOTUS IN “WONG KIM ARK” AND “MINOR V. HAPPERSETT” RIGHTFULLY PUNTED ON “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN” – CURRENT COURT PURPOSELY FUMBLED. Donofrio’s brilliance cannot be questioned; his “nuttiness”, I suppose, lies in his taste for contests in which he persists despite seemingly insuperable odds. This may explain his poker exploits (modest success there) and also his joust with SCOTUS (no success). However, as late as this may be for ousting Obama, Donofrio’s efforts may set the stage for future scrutiny of presidential candidates by secretarys of state. As Leo points out in his last post, five secretarys of state did in fact vett a candidate and as a result Roger Calero, a non citizen, was stricken from the ballot in those states. He writes:

I remember Leo (aka Lee, aka Burnweed) back in the early to mid 90s. Back then he was stoned out of his mind on MDMA and telling the world the Stone Roses would come back and bring on the apocalypse. The weird irony is, on October 21, 2011, tickets went on sale for the Stone Roses first gig in nearly 20 years. What a strange trip it has been for Leo.

Ha ha; ironic indeed. I wonder if Leo is having the last laugh but I guess for that we will have to wait for the apocalypse!
