McCain on Fire in Waukesha: Names the Names

October 9, 2008

The financial meltdown is directly traceable to Democrats starting with Carter and continuing through the Clinton years and lately engineered and enhanced through the efforts in Congress of Chris Dodd and Barney Frank with their accomplices at Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson. 5 million illegal immigrants received mortgages without having to show valid SS#, proof of identity or financial means. The Democrats resisted every effort to clean up the sub-prime mortgage mess. John McCain and others warned of the danger posed by the blatant social engineering policies at Fannie Mae where the books were cooked to show success and progress when there was, in fact, little or none. The false showing of progress allowed Raines, CEO from 1999 to 2004, to walk away with $100 million in bonus before FM’s collapse. Incidentally a report out today notes Raines just bought a $5 million penthouse with his loot.

The reason the recent debate was so boring was because of the question filter named Tom Brokaw. That’s why there was not a question about Obama’s vote for infanticide, about Supreme Court justices, or about Sen. Obama’s radical associates.

Sen McCain is on fire today in Waukesha WI; he finally names names of those responsible for the financial debacle. A realtor in the audience asked, “will you assure us as President you will investigate, prosecute and name the names of the people actually responsible for the sub-prime meltdown….? McCain responds: “I will and it is already a matter of record that …..Obama said these sub prime loans were not a problem for him….He goes on to identify by name (Audio MP3) Chris Dodd, Barack Obama and Barney Frank! Barney Frank said in ‘03, “I must say…..I don’t see any financial crisis…you could always make things better….but I do think we should dispel the notion that something rotten is going on….”

All the talk of a probable Democrat landslide is B.S. Obama has been unable to close the deal and the Dems are scared silly. They expected Obie to be way ahead at this point and the race remains close with three plus weeks to election day. Democrat advisor James Carville typified this fear with his comment yesterday that “if Obama is ahead by five points on election day and still loses…..it will be very traumatic! Whoa, is he predicting riots? With McCain on fire and Palin her usual smart and engaging self the outlook is for the race to narrow in the coming days.

John McCain: Do the Right Thing-Sarah Palin for V.P.

August 27, 2008

Now that Obambi has made his choice let us all hope John McCain makes the right choice and selects Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for his V.P. Sarah Palin is youthful (44), very smart, and hot. And, best of all, she’ll make Joe Biden look like the chump he really is.

The Patriot Room blog says:
“If McCain picks Palin, Here’s the campaign poster that dooms Obama”.

U.S. Presidential Seal Obamafied….

June 21, 2008

This is the Seal of the President of the United States:

This is the seal of the Obama presidential campaign:

Yahoo News reports:
A new seal debuted on Obama’s podium Friday, sporting iconography used in the U.S. presidential seal, the blue background, the eagle clutching arrows on left and olive branch on right, but with symbolic differences. Instead of the Latin ‘E pluribus unum’ (Out of many, one), Obama’s says ‘Vero possumus’, rough Latin for ‘Yes, we can.’ Instead of ‘Seal of the President of the United States’, Obama’s Web site address is listed. And instead of a shield, Obama’s eagle wears his ‘O’ campaign logo with a rising sun representing hope ahead.

Vero possumus indeed!

Now That Hillary’s Gone (Or Is She?)

June 5, 2008

From James Taranto’s “Best of the Web Today”, a Wall Street Jouranal opinion piece:

Is She Really Out?
We got a campaign email today from Hillary Clinton in the wee hours this morning that almost reads like a concession:

On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.

I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party’s nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise.

An extremely close reading of that last sentence, though, leads one to wonder. “If he were the Democratic Party’s nominee,” she writes. This is the subjunctive mood (sic), which implies a counterfactual assumption. It’s possible, though, that we’re reading this too closely…

On a related note about a possible Obama-Clinton ticket we have this from Jimmy Carter (Fox News):

Jimmy Carter urged Barack Obama not to pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate in an interview with a British publication, saying such a pairing “would be the worst mistake that could be made….The former Democratic president, who announced his support for Obama as the Illinois senator clinched his party’s nomination Tuesday night, told the Guardian’s Weekend magazine that Obama and Clinton together “would just accumulate the negative aspects of both candidates…..In a bluntly worded assessment, Carter defended his stance by citing Clinton’s negative ratings and the many questions and biases Obama faces….If you take that 50 percent who just don’t want to vote for Clinton and add it to whatever element there might be who don’t think Obama is white enough or old enough or experienced enough or because he’s got a middle name that sounds Arab, you could have the worst of both worlds,” he said. (emphasis added)

As to the question about an “Arab sounding” name we note the lead from an article in todays “Le Monde”:

Le candidat du Parti démocrate à la présidence des Etats-Unis, le 4 novembre, sera donc Barack Hussein Obama, 46 ans, fils d’une Américaine et d’un Kényan, né à Hawaï, élevé en partie en Indonésie, étudiant à l’université Harvard, travailleur social dans le ghetto noir de Chicago, entré au Sénat, à Washington, il y a trois ans et demi.

Hell, why not just put Michelle Obama on the ticket; you could call it impeachment insurance! After all Hillary was virtual V.P. all those years.
